Given that I had a day to turn round the initial design, I'm really pleased with how it turned out. The team wanted a poster that would attract a modern audience but still had a twist of the classical tale about it. The coloured starburst and skycontrasts with the silhouettes to make the show current and attractive to the university audience, but the details of the silhouettes and the title font remain true to Chaucer's descriptions and cultural roots. A number of flyers and bookmarks are also being churned out, and I'll put a few pages of the programme for the show up here in a week or two.
If you're familiar with Chaucer, see if you can recognise the characters in the poster. If not, avoid reading him altogether - I wouldn't wish Chaucer on anyone - but this nonetheless looks like a cracking production so try and catch it if you're in the area.
